“Nettle” the Green Fairy

This is Nettle. Made back in 2012, she was my second adventure into cloth art doll making and I absolutely adored every second I put into her! She's a Green Fairy and she just loves Spring! She's made from a cotton body with a combination of yarns and ribbons for hair. She wears mini versions of the clothes I made for adults. A green chiffon Fairy Chemise, Suede cloth bodice with a satin lining and beads with an 8-piont Fairy Skirt made from a light green crepe satin and tie-dye cotton with a little beading. She has cute little suede slippers with ribbons. Her wings are embroidered onto a shimmery organza, wired and hand sewn together. She wears a floral headpiece and holds a small staff in her left hand.
